To Pack or Not To Pack

So this weekend was wonderful! I got to hang out with Amelia (which is always wonderful) and Friday night we got to go see Jason Mraz for FREE!...I got to meet two new friends and hang out with Jason and Nick too. It was super hot out and there were TONS of people, but overall we had a good time.

Saturday we went to the MSU v. Georgia game...and we WON!! Go State! It was a great game and the weather was quite nice. Their was a cool breeze and all that jazz. Also Cam came to the tailgate in his little MSU outfit! He is so adorable! I love that I get to see him now! See picture below for cuteness. Also, see the adorable booties...Uncle Chris bought those :)

Today we decided it was time to pack up some of the room. But we also need to repack the closet and bathroom in Amelia's Apt. We haven't gotten that far in packing scheme yet but it has to happen this week! We have packed up a decent bit of the "studio" apartment, but hopefully that will get finished tonight.
This week is our last week to live in Starkville....It is a bit bittersweet. We are ready to get to Huntsville and get settled, but we are sad we have to leave all our friends in Starkville too!

One more thing... So now that Ted has gotten to MSU a lot of people know him. So now I am pretty much known as "Ted's Sister" which makes NO SENSE since I was here first! But I have come to grips with that and have gotten used to being known as "Ted's Sister". But Friday I was introduced to a new concept.

While talking to Amelia she was telling me about a friend of hers (that I met later that night) who was going to be coming along with us to Bulldog Bash. Well the girl had asked who all was going to be going to Bulldog Bash and Amelia told her that her friends Melissa and Chris (us) would be coming.( Now keep in mind I have never met this girl before later that night. ) Amelia's friend replies "oh Opus' parents"....!!!!!!! I am now known as "Opus' Parent". This is a new one for me. How does someone know Opus but they do not know me or Chris??? (***For those of you who do not know who Opus is...Opus is my (melissa) stuffed animal!!***)

Oh Friday...

So today is Friday. Work has been fun, yet uneventful. But I (Chris too) had TWO wonderful (actually 4). The first visitor to come see me was NICK GORDON!!! It was super exciting to see him. Nick and graduated with our masters together. He is super cool, and on top of that he is now working at UT Knoxville. And he is actually a staff member in the building that Matt (Chris' brother) is living in, so that makes him even more awesome. Nick came in town for Bulldog Bash and the MSU v. Georgia game this weekend.  Below is a picture of our group at graduation.
**Also in the picture below is my sweet friend Jen Kay. Jen Kay is coming into town this weekend too! I cant wait to see her as well!!! It will be so much fun!!!!**

The second visitor was CAM!!!! (and Dante and Eileen :) He came up to the office this afternoon to visit! Amelia tried to hog him (imagine that) but it is only because she loves him. I was so super excited!!!

So this weekend is Bulldog Bash....Jason Mraz is playing at the largest outdoor concert in the state of Mississippi. And it is FREE!! It will be super fun. And tomorrow is the MSU v. Georgia game! Finally, this past weekend I went to Austin, TX to see my dear dear friend Holly. Also her cousin and BFF Katie came too. Now Katie and I are BFF. Katie will somewhat be my neighbor when we finally get to Huntsville. Below is a picture of the three of us in Austin @ dinner.

We Have A Blog!!!

Hello!

Chris and I have decided to start keeping a blog of all of our new adventures!!! We are currently in Starkville, MS but will be moving to Huntsville, AL in October! Only a week or so left in Starkville :( We are sad that we are leaving our really good friends, but super excited to start our new life together in Huntsville.

If you don't know we got married this past summer in June on the beach! It was fantastic! Perfect weather, great people, and lots of love going around! I wouldn't redo any of it! In fact I am ready to go back to the beach! :)

We just finished our Masters in May 2010. Christopher got his masters in Electrical Engineering and I received mine in Student Affairs in Higher Education. Christopher got a job in Huntsville (hence the relocation to our soon to be new home town), while I am still job searching. We are praying and hoping that something comes open, and just waiting for the Lord to open the door to the job that I am to have. Until then we are just going to enjoy our time together, getting settled into a new routine!
