Milkshake Date?

So we love milkshakes. LOVE milkshakes.....probably me more so then Chris, but either way they are SUPER yummy. We have two friends who share our love of milkshakes. Stephen and Kristen. We have discussed taking a road trip and only stopping for milkshakes on the way....it's a bit ridiculous I will admit, but its summer and who doesn't like milkshakes? Although I have no pictures of us enjoying our milkshakes ( I will be sure to get some next time) I have gone through and pulled some pictures offline. (All of these pictures I found from the places' websites....)

Lets start the journey or delicousness at Steak and Shake. We like to get their mint chocolate chip milkshake. Yummy! Steak and Shake has a large variety of milkshakes and they are quite tasty!
Next stop Chick-fil-A. Now I have always been a fan of their milkshakes, but recently they came out with a banana pudding milkshake! Super yummy! It is really what started the whole milkshake date thing. I think I could say that this would be a top ranked milkshake in Kristen's book. And one day after lunch we decided to go by and get one. YUMMY! But since we had a milkshake date, our husbands were sad and wanted their own milkshake date..... If you haven't had a banana pudding milkshake you should!

Since the boys were a now wanting milkshakes we planned a milkshake double date for Sunday lunch. This time we went to Zaxby's. I AM IN LOVE with Zaxby's birthday cake milkshake. I love love love it! The chocolate whipped topping is super delicious and I love the taste! So off to Zaxby's we went for a lunch and the yummy birthday cake milkshake! I mean how yummy does this look?!

So then the next weekend the four of us and their little darling Kaylie were having dinner and enjoying their lovely screened in back porch when Kristen said she really wanted a cheeburger cheeburger milkshake. Now I had never had a cheeburger cheeburger milkshake but I haven't met too many milkshakes that I turn down. So off we went at 6pm to head across town to go get a milkshake. ....but it was completely worth it! Chris and I split a butterfinger milkshake, while Stephen got some kind of peanut butter chocolate banana thing and Kristen got Banana Oreo? (Not completely sure what it was)... unfortunately for Stephen Kristen used all of the banana so he had to just stick with his peanut buttery chocolate thing...Overall though they were SUPER delicious! Below is Cheeburger Cheeburger's milkshake flavor menu! There are endless milkshakes to try!

So that is about all for our milkshake adventures.....we are thinking of new places to try while still hitting up our usuals from above!
One new thing we just tried was McDonald's Frozen Strawberry Lemonade. Stephen and Kristen tried one this past weekend and last night Chris and I tried one! It was really good after finishing up a hardcore workout at bootcamp!

This little lemon guy is why I wanted to try one.....I love his little commercials!

Hope you enjoyed our walk through milkshakes! Do you have a favorite that we need to try out? Be sure to let us know!! :)

We LOVE the Herbert Staff!

So this post is SOOOO overdue! Before Easter we had the WONDERFUL Herbert Hall Staff in for a visit. It was a "surprise-mystery" trip for the RAs but Amelia, Chris, and I had the whole thing taken care of! First we had to figure out how to "home" 5 people. So we went on the hunt for extra air mattresses. And air mattresses we found! This is a picture of our living room. We had the three girls stay in the guest bedroom with one air mattress on the floor and then the two boys on air mattresses in the living room.

They group came in after stopping in Tupelo for dinner at the Olive Garden. The first night we just hung out with each other and Chris and I went to bed at our regular time. They came in on a Thursday night so Chris still had to get up and go to work the next morning.
On Friday morning I went with the group to the Space and Rocket Center. Chris got off early and met up with us at the Space and Rocket Center at lunch time. These are some photos of us exploring!

Herbert Staff after the IMax.
The Girls after riding the Space Shot. The boys chickened out and wouldn't ride with us.

After the Space Center we all went to Target. We had a few things to get before some of our other festivities!
Chris and I left the Herbert group in the Target parking lot because they wanted to go to Pet Smart and other stores and Chris and I were EXHAUSTED! That night we grilled out chicken, hamburgers, and brats.
The hamburgers and the onions cooking on the grill.

Multitasking husband of mine!
Even Opus joined us for our grill out!

After we ate we had smores! Now there were a few members of the group that had NEVER had smores! What a travesty! I love LOVE LOVE smores! They are my favorite! So we all had some smores! I like my marshmellows burned on the outside and gooey in the middle!
Marshmellows!
So we cleaned up our dinner and headed back to the apartment. We had some more things planned. 1) Dye Easter Eggs, 2) Share UTube videos, and 3) Watch the Lion King. Christopher and I didn't make it to item 3. We were super exhausted and we had bootcamp the next morning. So we just spent some time with them dying eggs and watching videos.
The group preparing to dye eggs.
Opus even joined in!

Opus and his egg!
All of us huddled around one laptop watching U-Tube videos!
On Saturday Chris and I got up and went to bootcamp. Amelia had an egg hunt ready for her staff and then we were going to go to Rosie's for lunch before they headed back to Starkville and we headed to Memphis to visit our family. But those Herbert RAs were super sleepy that morning! Chris and I made it back from bootcamp and visiting the cemetery to put in Easter flowers before they were even awake! And then it was slow moving! :) Lunch was great!
We had such a great time with these lovely group of people! So much fun! We were so excited that they came to visit us and we had a great time! Hope that they all come back again!

Happy Easter

Chris and I headed to Memphis this past weekend to visit with family for Easter. I love Easter.I love the fact that we celebrate Christ defeating death with such vibrant colors! I love seeing people in bright colored clothing and beautiful flowers decorating the side of the roads, and even the beautiful easter egg colors! I find great joy and celebration during this time of the year! I love the fact that Christ died and then defeated death for me! And everyone else too! What a great story!!
I didn't take very many pictures this past weekend. It was a very quick trip to Memphis. We got into Memphis Saturday around 5:30pm in just enough time to have a DELICIOUS steak dinner with the Edwards'. Sunday morning we got up and went to church and then the "lunches" began. We went out to Chris' aunt Mary's house for our first lunch. It was great to get to spend some time with his family! His cousin Jessica was in town and it was good to see her and spend some time with her. I "borrowed" some pictures from her since I didn't take any while I was over there :(

After lunch at Aunt Mary and Uncle Fred's we headed to my parents house for Easter with my family. It was great to get to spend some time with my family as well! Again I should have taken more pictures, but I only got a few pictures from the little kiddos Easter Egg Hunt.
The Easter Egg Hunt begins.

Sweet Little Tyler! Happy Easter!

And they are off to get as many Easter Eggs as possible.

Little Miss Chloe getting some candy filled eggs.

Ellie didn't care about how many eggs she could get.
She just wanted the candy!

Amelia Brooke on a mission for more eggs!
She had someone else carrying her basket for her!

We tried to get a group picture. Too many kiddos.
