Day 2 Non-HP- Island of Adventures Adventures!

So I realize that Universal's Island of Adventures has more than just Hogwarts and Hogsmeade...So this blog is dedicated to pictures just for the rest of the park!

Entrance to the Park...

Marvel SuperHero Island
This area of the park is home to the Hulk rollercoaster, SpiderMan, and  Dr. Dooms FearFall. Also during  certain parts of the day several of the Super Heros come and visit.

Superhero time!

The Hulk

Toon Lagoon

Toon Lagoon is home to all sort of cartoon characters. Including (but not limited to) Heathcliff, PopEye, Betty Boop. There are little word bubbles everywhere and toms of shops! Within Toon Lagoon you can also ride Dudley Do-Right Ripsaw Falls and Popeyes and Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges both of which will get you SOAKING WET! and I mean seriously you will be drenched. Unfortunately we decided to ride the "water rides" on our last day (we wore bathing suits and took dry clothes to change into afterwards) which was a great decision but Ripsaw Falls was out of order that day so we didn't get to ride it :(

Moving right along to Jurassic Park!

Jurassic Park really only had one ride (a water ride) for adults and an area for children with a few rides. So the Jurassic Park Water Ride will get you wet too..as well as the designated "splash zone" outside of the ride area. You will get super wet there too! We rode this ride on the last day as well and we got to sit in the front row! It was lots of fun!

The Lost Continent.
There were some awesome shops in this area and we ate at Mythos one day for lunch. It was award winning and it was quite delicious!

And last up on the list is Suess Landing!

I love Dr. Seuss books and this area was so quite. It really was like stepping into the pages of Dr. Suess book. The colors were perfect and everything was a bit quirky! Love it! There were tons of things for smaller children to enjoy and yet we still had so much fun. We rode "the high in the sky Suess Trolley" and "the Cat in the Hat". They also had a One Fish, Two Fish ride and a carousel. During the day they also do a Dr. Seuss reading for the kiddos!

Sweet little hubby in Suess Landing!

And these little fellows were everywhere! This one wanted to come home with us and be Sirius' new playmate!
