Non HP- Day 3- Universal Studios

So moving on to our trip to the other park at Universal...Universal Studios..
We branched out and visited the other park. I was interested in seeing The Despicable Me and riding the Rip Ride Rock-It. The beginning part of the day was nice, but it did rain some during the afternoon. Luckily every ride in this park is indoors, except the Rip, Ride, Rock-It. Here are some pictures of us around the park.
**Side Note- It was MAROON FRIDAY!! Hail State! We always support Maroon Friday and sport our maroon!**

I found Curious George within the first 10 minutes of the entering the park!

Despicable Me was so darn cute. Of course I love me some minions! Like all, but two of the rides, Despicable Me is a simulator ride. It definetely bounces you around A LOT so if you aren't into being thrown around in your seat you may want to opt into the seats that don't move around. This ride is also 3-D.
Our favorite part of this ride was the end....in order to get the line moving on out they have a room opened up before the exit that is a big dance room...Me and hubs danced and danced and danced! And the employees were quite impressed!

I love this "minion crossing" sign. I think I need one.

Hey! We have been to the real place of this flat museum.

Some of the other rides in the park. We LOVED the Mummy- I think we rode it about 6x in one day. It's not a simulator ride it is an actually indoor roller coaster and it is FANTASTIC. Love it.

And here's JAWS.

So at night Universal Studios is putting on a show to celebrate their 100th year of film making. Chris and I came back to the park (after a late afternoon nap) to see this show. IT WAS SO AWESOME. I mean seriously it was cool. I have several videos of this (as does Chris) and numerous mobile pictures..but here are some photos that Chris shot with the camera. The main screen was jets of water being shot down into the lake and having lights to illuminate the water. AMAZING.
The show had four distinctive sections- 100 Years of Heroes, 100 Years of Laughter, 100 Years of Good v. Evil, and 100 Years of Triumph and was narrated by Morgan Freeman.

Pretty cool looking right?

Check out that movie reel!

100 Years of Laugher followed by MINIONS!!!

Can you guess what movie this is from???!!
The show was so awesome! I would love to go see it again!!!

Some sights on our way out of the park....

After the show we headed to get some dinner. We decided on the Hard Rock Cafe- Its the largest Hard Rock Cafe in the world! First stop Universal World in the lake.

Hard Rock Cafe Orlando

Don't crush me please!

Citywalk Orlando!

Well that sums up Day 3. Even though there was no Harry Potter we had a blast!!!
